A weekend in Leavenworth

Our little boy is changing by the hour: new expressions, movements, and sounds. He is very observant of the world around him. And he has become quite the conversationalist — he coos back and forth with us… and we melt.

Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to spend a weekend at our friends’ cabin near Leavenworth. It was so generous of them to offer it, and we made the most of our time away: morning strolls, wine tasting, real estate hunting (why not?), German food, shopping, and lots of snuggle time with our little guy.

Getting away for a weekend always seems to restore me. I took a bunch of photos – here are some highlights.

Happy to be here! (Google maps took us on a slight detour… but W napped for almost the entire three hour drive. What a kid!)

Out to dinner the first night (and we did kind of feel like we were back in Germany…)

Does Sean remember when we went to Leavenworth when Gene and I were on our Cruise to Alaska and then later Mt. Rainier and Leavenworth? Roger has a cousin in Leavenworth. William is growing up in the most gorgeous countryside.
