My life changed dramatically in August of this year. We welcomed a baby boy into the world. And, as the saying goes, our lives will never be the same.
Becoming a parent has been the most jaw-dropping and heart-bursting experience I’ve ever had.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that every moment feels special. I have never appreciated someone — and everything and everyone that surrounds that someone — so much.

I feel… content. I’m a person who is often thinking about what’s next — at work, school, my hobbies, upcoming weekend plans, etc. My entire life, I have been striving and reaching for what’s next. I don’t think that will ever change — but my appreciation for now, and this present moment, has never been so strong.
Being with William, and being a mom, is calming. It’s like my priorities, purpose, and meaning came into crystal clear focus for the first time. What could be better than that?
I’m looking forward to sharing more about the journey of parenthood with you. For now, just one word: wow.
